Bangladesh Passport Office is the place where every Bangladeshi national need to apply for passport according to their birth place. Bangladesh government started issuing Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and Machine Readable Visa (MRV) in April 2010. However, now the Government has requested to change hand written passport to MRP passport as no countries are accepting it as travel document. The Government of Bangladesh also announced to issue e-passport in 2016. Bangladesh nationals can apply for MRP passport from their home district.
